Serena Williams follows Zuckerberg and Musk’s footsteps.

Serena Williams will be a guest on the same stage where the likes of Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk were in the past. More specifically, the tennis icon will deliver a keynote at the Disrupt event in San Francisco, taking place between 18 and 20 October.

“The global startup community comes together each year to discover insights, collaborate, and celebrate achievements that have defined each founder’s journey and for those yet to come in the future,” reads the event’s description.
Besides Serena Williams, famous actor Kevin Hart and RJ Scaringe, founder and CEO of Rivian, are featured as guests at the event. According to the Tech Crunch’s official website, “Zuckerberg, Benioff, Musk, Kalanick, Mayer, Dorsey and many other startup stars have been on the Disrupt stage long before they were in the headlines.

Serena Williams is a fit guest for the start-up community attending the Disrupt event because she is the owner of Serena Ventures, an investing company that does things “differently through standout strategies, bold initiatives, and a global network of investors, business leaders, and influencers.”

Here is the story of Serena Ventures, as described on its official website: “Since 2014, Serena Ventures has championed founders whose perspectives and innovations level the playing field for women and people of color.
