Simone Biles has accomplished nearly everything in her beloved arena of gymnastics. The 4’8’’ gymnast has four Olympics gold medals, a record seven US Gymnastics Championships all-around titles, and more World Championships hardware than any other athlete in the history of the sport. However, time and again, she proved that gymnastics isn’t the only field where she can flaunt her incredible prowess. Competing against NFL players is one more thing she is good at.
As Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens are enjoying their little hiatus in Door County, the couple left no stone unturned to make the best out of their trip. First the yacht party, and now an impromptu cross-sports competition, in which the gymnast competed against the NFL wide receiver, Christian Watson.

Taking to his Instagram story, the NFL safety pulled off the curtains from the racing competition between his wife and his fellow teammate, Christian Watson. In the video, Biles and Watson can be seen girding up for the race from the starting point. As soon as the race starts, the 6’5’’ NFL prodigy tripped and almost fell in the first 10 m, giving Biles a head start.
However, the football wide receiver catches up the speed and trounces the gymnast in the race. Following this, the Green Bay Packers defensive back stated, “Aye why she get out the first 10 like that”.
Though the gymnast lost the race with a minor difference, she never fails to astonish her fans with her staunch skills and incredible prowess. Along similar lines, back in 2021, Biles defeated Jonathan Owens in a rope climbing competition and added beating an NFL player in a test of strength to her already impressive resume.

In 2021, the Olympian posted a video on her Instagram handle, presenting the epic rope-climbing showdown between the two. Though Owens has a 1-foot-3-inch height advantage over Biles, he lost the contest by a considerable margin. Following his defeat, the NFL safety conceded, “Well, I had you about 3/4th of the way…I just, burned out”.
“Never underestimate a gymnast”, quipped Biles. Clearly, the gymnast has a penchant for indulging in healthy competitions against her NFL acquaintances. First, Jonathan Owens, and now the football wide receiver Christian Watson.
