Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens’ wedding extravaganza was one opulent affair. From a cinco-de-drinko-themed welcome party to a lavish rehearsal dinner, the Amy Abbott Weddings & Events left no stone unturned to make the couple’s destination wedding a grand success. Now, what took the fandom’s attention was the modish vogue donned by the pair during their pre-wedding celebrations. For every occasion, the power couple treated themselves to luxury and chose some chic outfits.
Whether it is choosing Beckett Fogg for her Met Gala debut or wearing Galia Lahav at her wedding, the gymnast knows how to don any attire with absolute finesse. Along similar lines, the Olympian started off her wedding festivities in Cabo with a regal welcome party, where she flaunted a luxury swimwear brand. However, it comes as a surprise since the 7x Olympics champion once asserted her fears of going broke by spending a hefty sum of money. So, what brand did she choose this time?
Simone Biles chose a lavish outfit for the welcome party
In her latest Instagram post, the gymnast shared a still of herself with Owens. In the picture, the couple donned their swimming gear and posed for the lens. Interestingly, this time Mr. and Mrs. Owens chose Fendi as their go-to luxury brand.
While Mrs. Owens chose Brown Lycra Fendi by Marc Jacobs’s one-piece reversible swimsuit worth $650, Mr. Owens wore Fendi brown fabric shorts. More so, Biles coupled her swimsuit with a brown Fendi hat, while Owens wore a black cap with “Mr. Owens” engraved on it. Captioning the post, the Olympian penned, “Married girl summer”.
Clearly, the couple chose rather on fleek outfits for the welcome party. However, with her penchant for donning luxury brands, the Olympian also chooses affordable outfits whenever she can.
Though the gymnast spent affluence on her destination wedding in Cabo San Lucas, she didn’t splurge on opulence during her first wedding ceremony. She chose budget-friendly attire for her courthouse marriage in Houston. The gymnast wore a white multi-layered wedding gown worth $120 and coupled her attire with stilettos worth $35.
Though she once mentioned her fear of going broke, the gymnast conceded, “I will only splurge if I earned it”. Nonetheless, with her stalwart vocation in gymnastics and a multitude of endorsements, the Olympian’s net worth marks $16 million. Hence, Simone Biles has a staunch knowledge of where to spend heftily and where to cut costs, don’t you agree?
