Tennis legend Serena Williams has shared the heart-warming moment she told her daughter she is going to be a big sister.
The 41-year-old and her husband, Alexis Ohanian, recorded a video of them telling five-year-old Olympia the exciting news, which Williams posted to her YouTube channel on Tuesday.
Williams began the video by revealing Olympia did not know about the pregnancy, adding her daughter noticed she had become “fat”.
“Olympia does not know right now that I am pregnant, but she did call me fat and then she got really, like, stressed out,” Williams said as the video started.
“She was like ‘Mummy, you’re fat’.
“I tried not to take it personal, ‘cause I’m, like, super into fitness, but I’m, like, ‘Uhh, am I?’.
Serena Williams tells her daughter she is going to be a big sister.
“We’re going to tell her (about the pregnancy) and I’m really, really excited to see her reaction.”
The video continues with the family sitting on the lounge as Williams prepares for the big announcement.
“Remember how you’ve been praying for a little sister or brother?” Serena asked Olympia.
“Well, we went to the doctor, and it turns out I’m not getting fat. But I have a baby in my belly.”
Olympia’s face then lit up with joy and excitement as she replied: “What, are you kidding me?”
“You’re going to be a big sister,” Ohanian and Williams both said.
Olympia reacted with joy and reached out and hugged Williams in a beautiful family moment.
The video continued as Williams unbuttoned her jeans and lifted her T-shirt to reveal her baby bump, with Olympia overcome with excitement as she jumped off the lounge and screamed with joy while running around the living room.
After telling her daughter the news, the all-time tennis great publicly announced she is pregnant with her second child during the recent Met Gala event.

Williams shared a series of photos of herself and her husband with the caption: “Was so excited when Anna Wintour invited the 3 of us to the Met Gala.”
She confirmed the news to co-host Lala Kent, saying: “There’s three of us here.”
“I’m feeling good now. I can breathe. I can stop hiding.”
The 23-time grand slam winner last year announced she would be “evolving away” from tennis, with her focus on her family.
Her last professional match was a third-round loss to Aussie Ajla Tomljanovic at the US Open in 2022.
She had previously teased a return to tennis, but the pregnancy will put a stop to that.
Williams took time away from tennis in 2017 to have her first child. She had an emergency caesarean section delivery and suffered a pulmonary embolism that left her bedridden for six weeks.
